Until my hearts, like finished.

This film was created with young people living in the Bridgwater YMCA. At first we thought we would make a drama but as everyone began to tell their stories we realised that the film would be far stronger told by the young people in as simple a way as possible.

The young people interviewed each other, used photoshop to manipulate images of themselves and edited their own stories.

To see them standing on stage in the Odeon Leicester Square clutching their award when only a year ago they were in such desperate circumstances is something none of us will ever forget. It was remarkable.

Encounters

The film has also won an Honerable Mention at Encounters Short Film Festival. Which is brilliant news.

The film was judged by Sienna Miller, Dougray Scott, David Stoddart and Hannah Murray.

They said

'We thought the contrast between the very close up shots of the people being interviewed and more anonymous images of streets, houses and parks was increadably beautiful, and gave a wonderful sense of balance to the film... And really admire the bravery and honesty of people who are willing to share thier experiences like that.'
